Potential damage to brickwork during window replacement.
The Solution
As part of a window replacement package, Charterbuild were engaged to install masonry reinforcement to create lintels within the external brickwork where none existed. Previous window replacement schemes had resulted cracked brickwork, and loss of part of the external skin in some instances. Using a combination of ‘Helibeams’ and pinning techniques, the window openings within 98 separate dwellings were completed on programme and without any disturbance to the tenants.
